  • What Is the Working Principle of DTMF Controlled Automatic Door Locking System?

It is a DTMF based automatic door locking system. The DTMF device makes it entirely remote control system. This DTMF device is controlled by the mobile phone from any location.

The principle of this device is that, when you make the call to the DTMF device, it automatically receives the call. Then the DTMF tones generated from that device are received by the microcontroller. When the call is connected, you can type the door opening as well as the locking code from the keypad of your phone.

This code is sent to the microcontroller in the form of DTMF tones, which directs the circuit to close as well as open the door. For detailed explanation of the working of this device, please visit the official kitsguru store.Free YouTube Video link:-What is the working principle of DTMF controlled automatic door locking system?.

  • What Are the Various Applications of Centrifugal Blowers?

Blowers are used in industries when there is a requirement for larger volumes of air flow at higher pressures. A fan with higher pressure ratio (output pressure / input pressure) can be called as a blower provided it produces pressures as high as 1.20 kg/cm2. Like fan systems, blowers are widely used in industrial processes where a constant flow of air/gas is needed at higher pressures such as conveying material in dust collector systems, combustion air for burners, drying & cooling, general ventilation & circulation of air and so on.

Blowers with higher efficiency are also used in industrial vacuum systems where suction or negative pressures are required.Industrial blowers are broadly divided into two types, centrifugal blowers and positive-displacement blowers.Image Source: GoogleCentrifugal blowers are constant volume devices that are designed with high speed impellers or blades typically rotating at about 15,000 rpm.

The speed of the air stream entering into the blower is increased by the impeller or blades, where it gains kinetic energy and accelerates with higher pressure through outlet in radial direction.Like Centrifugal fan systems, these blowers also have different drive mechanisms such as belt, variable and direct driven. To adjust the air flow rates, centrifugal blowers are fitted with dampers & louvers, ducts and other similar airflow resistant components.

A centrifugal blower can be single and multi-stage unit. single stage centrifugal blower is used when a uniform airflow is required whereas multi-stage blower is useful when there is a requirement for varying flow of air at a fixed pressure.Applications of Centrifugal Blower:Centrifugal blowers are widely used in industrial applications where there is a requirement for constant flow of larger volumes of air such as in ventilation, combustion, transporting materials, cooling and heating systems, dust control, air conveyor systems, industrial vacuum applications and in other industrial processes.

I hope I've sum up enough for your query.

From the Kitchen Tables of Jenn Paige
This blog post is by DQC President and CEO Jennifer Bell-Ellwanger and DQC Executive Vice President Paige Kowalski. As we all try to understand our rapidly evolving education environment during the COVID-19 crisis and the uncertainty that surrounds it, the Data Quality Campaign is working to elevate whats happening whether its concrete examples of whats working in states and districts, ideas and proposals from the field, or things our organization and others are exploring. To accomplish this, were bringing you our thoughts on the most salient conversations happening in the last week on navigating education during the pandemic and future recovery efforts. Were writing this column together to combine our perspectives: Jenn brings years of experience in the classroom and in education leadership at the district and federal levels, while Paiges expertise comes from more than a decade working on state and federal education data policy and issues. Check back weekly for our roundup of noteworthy thinking on education data and policy.Data is critical to recovery efforts. A new Ohio law ( HB 197) suspends accountability but requires that performance data collected to date be posted by September. Ohios state agency will use this newly reported data for informational purposes only, and recognizes that, While this does not represent the full picture of a school or districts academic performance this school year, it will provide helpful information that can be used for planning and program purposes. Ohio is demonstrating real leadership on this issue; removing the weight of accountability from assessments will allow educators to solely focus their efforts on getting students back on track. States should lead with picking up the flashlight and shining a light on where they are, and recognize that withholding the hammer of accountability is the right thing to do this year and maybe next year too. In California, Governor Newsoms office reiterated its support for the states nascent P-20W data system stating, Access to data is essential when managing a crisis, and a stronger intersegmental system will make the state more resilient and adaptable. Our health, economic, and education crises are tightly linked and effective solutions will depend upon state leaders finding the will to pull data out of siloes.Looking ahead: Stay tuned for a DQC resource on how districts are using their parent portals as a critical means of supporting and communicating with parents while schools are closed. South Florida districts are prioritizing transparency. WLRNs Jessica Bakeman writes about efforts in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties to publicly share clear, transparent data. The field is in desperate need of new measures. Attendance Works is taking on the hard work of looking at what attendance means in this era of distance learning delving beyond login data to get to student participation and engagement. Keep an eye out later this month for their new framework for states and districts to adopt.Student pathways will be impacted by academic and financial disruptions, making it more important than ever for states to ensure their district and school leaders have access to postsecondary, career and technical education, and workforce outcome data by high school. [For good examples, check out Kentucky, Pennsylvania and South Carolina.] Were also hearing from states that procuring postsecondary data from third party sources is too expensive, especially given looming budget cuts a signal that its time for Congress to revisit the College Transparency Act.With learning losses expected in the coming months, districts will need a variety of new assessments to gauge where students are academically as well as emotionally. As these assessments are developed and administered, measures of equity alongside growth data will be critical.Lack of early learning data limits decisionmaking and leaves vulnerable children unserved. In The 74, Elliot Regenstein of Foresight Law Policy and Chris Strausz-Clark of Third Sector Intelligence explain that states often have very limited data on which of our youngest students receive which services another flag that getting better data in early childhood and across the P-20W spectrum will be critical to state education and economic recovery efforts. Smart decisions in early learning areas are also critical to ensuring their parents can get back to work.Federal funding opportunities for data use. States must strengthen their P-20W and integrated data systems in order to understand and reflect new challenges, and to serve their students now and after the crisis; linked data is more important than ever given the nature and severity of the crisis states and districts are facing. The federal governments Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act allocated nearly $31 billion to an Education Stabilization Fund comprised of four grant programs. One of these programs, The Governors Emergency Education Relief (GEER) Fund, is an emergency block grant designed to quickly distribute $3 billion to the most impacted states and gives governors enormous flexibility in determining how the use the grant. The newly-created Rethink K-12 Education Models program is providing a much smaller amount of funding (read: an average of $15 million per grant) that will allow states to provide microgrants to help parents with connectivity, set up virtual learning programs, and try new ideas to improve distance learning. For more on how the federal government can support states and schools in recovery, read Jenns piece in The 74.Getting research into the hands of practitioners. The William T. Grant Foundations new Rapid Response Research Grants will, in part, support partnerships of researchers and practitioners or advocates as they synthesize existing evidence and use it to make specific district programming decisions. Building long-term, collaborative partnerships will help the field apply existing research in smart ways and ensure that future research is helping to provide the answers educators and leaders need. Originally published by the Data Quality Campaign on May 4, 2020 RELATED QUESTION Should children memorize the multiplication tables? If yes, what is the upper limit? Yes. Yes. Yes. As a teacher, I can't emphasize this enough. I am typically anti-memorization. In the calculator/Google age, if you can look it up, it's usually not worth memorizing. Math is not about memorization. It is more important for them to understand the pattern behind the multiplication table than to memorize it. So why memorize? if students don't have basic multiplication facts memorized, it becomes difficult for them to find patterns and understand otherwise simple concepts down the line because they're chained to a calculator, bogged down on the simplest examples. It also makes doing basic division and fractions a real pain. Students should memorize addition 0 through 10 and multiplication 0 through 10. (Later, students should memorize the squares 0 through 10.) Beyond this is pretty worthless in the calculator age. You don't have to drill and kill. There are apps for that. There are games. There are fun ways to do it. but they have to learn it. Yes, you need to build intuition. Yes, you need to give application. Don't kill the joy, but please, please, for the love of all that is good, teach your children their multiplication tables.

Solid Wood Dining Room Furniture: Choosing Your Tables and Chairs
Solid wood dining room furniture is the best you can get due to its strength, rigidity and hard-wearing properties. However, there are many different woods than can be used, and many different designs, so here is some advice on choosing the furniture for your dining room that best suits your needs, with specific reference to your tables and chairs. Seating Numbers You must first decide on how many you want to seat at your table, bearing in mind that some tables can be extended to seat more for special occasions. This question might be answered by the size of your dining room, or perhaps yours is large enough for any size of dining table. Most choose from six to eight: two to four chairs each side and one at each end. However, you can choose larger if you prefer. You might want a small dining table for regular use, but one that can be extended for special occasions such as dinner parties or seasonal celebrations. You generally have two options: tables with leaves attached, that can be pulled up when needed, or those with separate leaves that can be added as required. Some older tables come with two, three or even four extra leaves that can be added to extend the length of the table, while modern dining tables can be fitted with clever mechanisms that extend the table at will. Rectangular or Round? Maybe you prefer an oval or circular table, such as that offered by American Craftsman. This furniture company offers a beautiful quarter sawn oak 54 inch round dining table, showing the beautiful graining of the solid wood. It comes with six matching chairs offering a set ideal for any traditional dining room. Rectangular tables are easier to extend for large numbers of guests. Perhaps a fabulous Stickley polished mahogany dining table with leaves that will open to a total of 11 feet and seat ten or more people for these special occasions? There are many other famous furniture manufacturers available online from which you can choose the ideal solid wood dining room furniture. Choose Your Chairs Most suppliers of solid wood dining room furniture offer you the chairs to match, although there is no reason why you cannot purchase your table from one maker and your dining room chairs from another. If you get the wood the same, then the maker is immaterial, and it is not uncommon for people to find a table with which they instantly fall in love, but don't like the chairs that come with it. In such cases, keep looking until you find chairs that you are happy with: it's worth taking your time when you are spending money on furniture for your dining room. You will live with it for a long time. Choose Your Wood Maple, Oak and walnut are the most popular woods for dining tables, and you should base your choice on the style of your room. If you are looking for solid wood dining furniture for an antique look, then walnut should be your choice. You won't find solid walnut tables, but the base of the table will likely be solid oak with a beautifully varnished or glossy French-polished walnut veneer on top. In saying that, American black cherry is in fashion, and many Americans prefer this to the traditional hardwoods. If you prefer that type of antique look, Southwood offer dining tables with beautiful Queen Anne style legs and a highly polished top. You will likely pay a bit extra for a walnut finish, but the beautiful patterns of the grain are well worth it. Check the Construction Solid wood dining room furniture must be constructed using traditional jointing techniques. If you see metal or plastic connectors, screwed or nailed butt joints or even screwed pocket joints, then expect to pay a budget price. Check under the table and chairs and make sure that the joints are dovetailed or mortise and tenon. These are traditional woodworking joints, stronger than any butt joint and will last a great deal longer. Although you may believe the jointing methods used not to be important, cheap joints might also indicate that corners have been cut in other aspects of the furniture. If you have upholstered dining chairs rather than solid seats, maybe the fabric is cheap and will wear quicker, or the webbing holding the springs will soon burst - if there is webbing and not just a lump of foam! If on corner is cut, then others may be! Guarantees and Delivery Finally, make sure you get a lifetime guarantee with your furniture, and that it is delivered correctly. Make sure that it is properly examined for delivery damaged before the shipping company leaves your home, and that any scratches, dents or even discoloration of the upholstery is noted and signed for so that you can make a claim later. Solid wood dining room furniture will grace any dining room, but make sure you know what you want in advance, and seek out the manufacturer that best meets your needs. Don't be talked into purchasing a 'discount' dining room set unless you are sure it is not damaged - then, you might be lucky and get a great discount on perfect dining room furniture that is being sold to make space for the new models.

Bistro Tables Create an Atmosphere
Bistro tables create an atmosphere of style and sophistication. Interestingly, they also create an atmosphere of coziness at the same time. These differing descriptions may be because the term "bistro" is thought of as a French term. People generally think of sophistication when they think of anything French. Additionally, the bistro is a small and relaxed eatery conducive to intimacy and warmth. When savvy consumers want to decorate their homes, many choose bistro tables and matching chairs for their informal dining areas. The bistro set is unique and stylish, creating a lasting impression on the visitor. And since they're not part and parcel of the average American home, a bistro set is something people want to "experience." They can't wait to sit down and pretend they're in a cozy French eatery somewhere in France. A fun way of decorating with bistro tables is making the room into a French restaurant or bar. This creates an instant European atmosphere, which is fun in and of itself. If you've yearned to travel to France or French inspired places, you can have your slice of France every day in your home. Place a basket of baguettes and play some French music in the background, and voila! You're in France! Also, a bistro set is a wise choice for those who live in small apartments or who have a small eating space. Since bistro tables are much smaller than the average dining room table, and since people in small apartments don't entertain large crowds, this set is the perfect fit for tiny spaces. With this set, people don't need to compromise on style because of a lack of space. Bistro tables also lend themselves to romance. The size of the small bistro table top encourages intimacy, with the subtle hint of France and the "City of Love" stirred in. Because of this, "date nights" can be held at home, saving much needed money during these uncertain economic times. All couples have to do is decorate their bistro in a romantic theme, dim the lights, and let the magic take over. Bistro tables are also known as bar tables or pub tables; each one has a high table and usually two matching chairs. They aren't just for indoors, either; they can be made with weather resistant materials and can be placed outdoors. Such bistro tables can make fashionable and unique patio tables. The materials used to make these tables vary as widely as your decor needs. Choose from wood, wrought iron, or sculpted materials to coincide with your tastes. Table tops are made in the same material or can be different, such as glass or a heavily woven wicker. Glass top bistro tables are great if the frame of the bistro set is sculpted into a beautiful art form. Also, some of the wrought iron frames are made into incredible scroll work. A glass table top will let you enjoy the artistry while sitting or standing around the table. Bistro tables can also be used in a bar or game room. People would probably be more inclined to call them pub tables if that is the case. When entertaining in an attractive and functional bar or game room, pub tables would be mixed in with a large seating area. The entertainment area, featuring a wide screen TV, would be the focus of the large seating area. Conversation and snacking would be the focus of the pub tables. When you make a bistro set part of your home decor, you're sure to find functionality and style at the same time. Your guests will be impressed with your modern approach to decoration, without your sacrifice of comfort. Just keep an eye out for the bistro tables or pub tables to match your decor and room's theme, and you can't go wrong.
Types of Outdoor Bistro Tables and Chairs
Bistro tables and chairs come in many heights, sizes, colors, and materials. The materials have to be durable and resistant to be able to withstand outdoor conditions because most bistro furniture is intended for outdoor use. The term bistro is Parisian in origin meaning a small restaurant with outdoor seating to accommodate guests. The tables are also small intended for two to dine comfortably and intimately. The ideal location for a home bistro set would be in an outdoor patio, garden, or even an enclosed structure like a gazebo or pergola. Metal and wood are the two most popular materials used in the making of outdoor furniture. Metal is of course more durable but also more expensive. Wood can be treated with weather resistant sealants that make it just as durable as metal but less expensive to purchase in most cases. Bistro tops are typically found in round or square shapes. Bistro table chairs are usually high backed with no arm rests or cushions. You can however, find many styles and colors of cushions that can be purchased separately if you prefer the extra comfort. Metal tables and chairs are mostly made of materials like iron or steel. The weight of these metals is ideal so that the outdoor furniture does not topple over in times of high winds or inclement weather. Metal sets are usually adorned with some kind of artistic design. Bistro sets can vary greatly in price depending on the material used and the design or style of the set. Mosaic glass tile is the most expensive type of design because of the artistic beauty and intricate craftsmanship involved in the making of the table tops and sometimes the seats for the table chairs. Bistro sets that include mosaic designs can be custom ordered to reflect a design or colors of your choice. Wooden bistro sets are most likely to contain folding pieces that can easily be put away when not in use. Prices for wood bistros also vary greatly depending on the material used and the craftsmanship involved in the manufacturing. Cherry, eucalyptus, cedar, and wicker are some of the most common wood materials used in the making of outdoor furniture. You can find a wide selection of outdoor bistro tables and chairs on the internet. You can easily purchase a bistro set or choose to purchase each piece separately. If you are comparing prices, always try factor in shipping cost before determining which set to purchase and from which distributor.
How to Protect a Wooden Table
Protecting your wood tables from kids, pets, sunlight, and daily wear and tear can be a challenge. Indoor tables often endure regular abuse from moisture, marring, heat and chemicals. Outdoor tables are exposed to the elements -- snow, sunlight, rain, wind -- and need additional protection. Take simple precautions to guard wood tables against future damage. Your tables will look better and last longer with a little preventative maintenance. Scratches Scooting your dishes, glasses or vases across a wooden table can scratch it. Pick up anything sitting directly on the wood to move it. Felt pads attached to the bottom of lamps, pottery or other items perched atop a table helps protect the wood. Use linen or cotton tablecloths or placemats when dining. Position a small bowl or tray atop an entry table to hold keys and other personal items. Liquids Blot liquid spills immediately. Spilled liquids left unattended on your table's surface can damage the wood finish, as well as the wood itself. Individual coasters are a budget-friendly solution to help guard against water rings. Custom order a piece of clear glass to fit any wooden table top to protect the entire wood surface, while allowing its beauty to shine through. Don't use chemicals, such as fingernail polish, on your table; a spill could significantly damage the wood. Temperature Avoid placing hot pans or dishes directly on a wood table. Position a hot pad under each hot dish or cover your wood table with a protective pad that's designed to fit over the entire tabletop. Move interior wood tables out of direct sunlight, as the UV rays may fade or bleach the wood. Maintain a room temperature of 70 to 75 degrees Fahrenheit and a humidity level of 50 to 55 percent to keep the wood from drying out; dried-out wood can split or crack. Also, keep wood tables away from heat sources, such as radiators. Weather A fresh coat of paint, stain or water-repellent sealant can prevent your outdoor wooden tables from weathering. Without a protective coating, wood tables can rot, decay and fade when directly exposed to the sun, wind and moisture. Covering your outdoor tables with an awning, roof or patio umbrella will give them additional protection against the elements. Store your tables in a garage or other protected area during cold winter months. Cleaning Use a lint-free dusting cloth dampened with wood furniture polish to remove dust and dirt particles from your wooden tables. Cleaning the tables on a weekly basis removes grease, dust and grime and avoids excessive build up. Regular cleaning keeps your tables looking good and helps protect the wood. Avoid cleaning wood tables with a dry cloth that can grind the dust down into the wood, causing microscopic scratches.
