School Award Gift Card Help!?

First of all, congratulations on your award! Was this a large school award ceremony? Because teachers will hand you your award and gift card but that does not mean they've given it to you out of their own expense. You do not have to thank them personally for that. (Although, I have to add that it might be nice to go around and thank your teachers that have helped you get to where you are now. They will appreciate that.)

1. I will AWARD 10 POINTS FOR BEST ANSWER TO THIS COMPUTER ISSUE?

Does it make it through the post?

2. Who do you think will be taking home the Cy Young Award?

AL? CLIFF LEE AND NL? ROY HALLADAY

3. The Worst Video Game of All Time Award?

I would go with the same game that holds the lowest ranking ever on IGN at 0.7: Extreme Paintbrawl for the PC. I am a proud owner of this game, just because it holds that distinction. 1) Horrible Framerate 2) AI that can see in 360 degrees 3) AI that runs straight forward and only turns to aim at an enemy 4) AI never misses their target 5) Capture the flag with points 2 3 and 4 above combines for you against 5 psychic snipers. If you die, you have to quit the game to start a new round, because your team never will run to where your opponents are. Honorable mention for the Atari 2600 game Custer's Revenge, just for how horribly wrong on so many levels the concept of the game is.

4. Why does Argo deserve an Academy Award for Best Picture?

The movie brings a feeling of unification in North America. If you see from an American prospective, the movie is amazing. It tells you how the government is helpful and can go to any level to safeguard its citizen. A point I would like to add is that the plot of Argo is not completely based on true events. It is biased towards the American.nWhich parts of the Argo movie deviated from the true story / were factually inaccurate?Zero Dark Thirty and Life of Pi were better movies according to me. So the only reason I can think of is the current sentiments of the world and the American wanted to depict their positive to the world through a movie. There were many good movies but it has to stand out in some way.Why does Argo deserve an Academy Award for Best Picture?

5. Where should the NASCAR Award Banquet be held?

it kinda makes me sick to my stomach to see the award banquet being held in Yankee land, but i know that 99% of the sponsers of nascar have corporate offices in New York., and we all know that this game is about sponsers, and lot's of bucks. and to be truthful, it is good in a way that it is held up there ( as i choke back tears), because they are on a lot of primetime shows, Regis and Kelly and i am sure many others which promote the sport. New York does care about Nascar, a 30 second spot as a t.v. commercial can cost hundreds of thousands for one spot, where in the world can you get the most bang for you advertising dollar for having a car going around for two to four hours showing on the side of a car advertising Glabber Girl baking soda? i wish it was held in the heart of racin but the money talks, and that is what keeps this sport rolling.

6. Diahrrea & stomach cramps? Award best answer?

Sounds like a bad stomach virus. Viruses do not necessarily raise body temperature. The green color of the stool just means it went though the colon faster than usual, and the bile did not have time to digest the food properly. Keep super hydrated, and if you can not , seek medical attention.

7. Is it worth it for tourists to visit the Taipei Public Library in the Beitou Branch in Taipei, Taiwan?

It is my hometown with a museum right next to it. It is one of the building that has won award for its architure and being environmentally friendly. It is a place full of history as well as former red light district popular by the Morman missionaries, American GI, and Japanese sex tourists. Lewd conducts are often seen by passerby children on our way to school at 6am. Many of my friends are mix breed children from the orphanage

Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards 2015
Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards 2015
Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards 2015The 14th Washington D.C. Area Film Critics Association Awards were announced on December 7, 2015.— — — — — —How to be safe living in Washington D.C.?Bascially avoid the Black areas such as the southeast— — — — — —What are good places to visit in Washington D.C.?10 tips for Washington, D.C., tourists By Kelly DiNardo, Special for USA TODAY The ins and outs, quirks and curiosities of a city can take years to learn. If that does not quite fit into your time frame, you are in luck. With these tips, you will manage your trip to Washington, D.C., like a pro. RECOMMENDED EVENTS: Washington, D.C., is a year-round playground CITY GUIDE: Washington, D.C., attractions, hotels and more 1. Avoid driving. Legend has it that French engineer Pierre Charles L'Enfant designed Washington's streets to confuse and frustrate enemy troops who might attack the city. Anyone attempting to navigate this city will understand why the legend persists. The city is divided into the four quadrants of a compass - NW, NE, SE, SW. The U.S. Capitol sits at the center of the quadrants, even though it is not at the center of the city, so Northwest is the largest area. The boundaries of each quadrant are North Capitol Street, South Capitol Street, East Capitol and the National Mall. That's where the street addresses start and become numbers and the letters of the alphabet. The lettered streets run east and west and numbered streets run north and south. To add to this directional befuddlement, the city also has many diagonal avenues (most of which are named after states) that run through a series of white-knuckle-inducing traffic circles. And beware the freeway ramps that appear out of nowhere and may take you across a bridge to Virginia before you know it. 2. Mind your Metro manners. The D.C. transit system prides itself on being one of the cleanest and most orderly in the country. A few simple dos and do not s will help you navigate the Metro with ease. When on the escalator, do stand to the right and walk to the left, letting those in a hurry pass by. Do not eat or drink on the Metro. Do stand aside and take a moment to figure out where you are going. The direction a Metro train is going is determined by its final destination. For example, an Orange train heading west will say, "Orange Line to Vienna." There are large, clear maps in each station, so you should be able to figure it all out. Do not stop in the entry of the Metro car, but move completely into the car. Also, note our underground rail system is called the Metro, do not refer to it as the subway. 3. Consider fall. Visitors flock to Washington between April and August. The city can be unbearably hot and humid in the summer, which makes trekking around to all those outside monuments a sweltering affair. Remember, D.C. is lovely all year round - especially in the fall. 4. Visit your Congressperson. Call ahead for a visit with your local representative. Congressional offices can often offer special services and tips for visitors. 5. Eat your way around the world. Washington is a true melting pot with residents from around the world, which is reflected on the menus at area restaurants. Forget the chain restaurants you probably have at home. Instead, make like Columbus and discover the city's global palette. Local favorites include Mexican tapas at Oyamel, Indian at Rasika, Ethiopian at Etete, Italian at Dino and Belgian at Brasserie Beck. 6. Plan ahead. You can simply walk into many of Washington's attractions without tickets or reservations, but some of the biggies require a little advance preparation. Visitors interested in taking the self-guided tour of the White House must be part of a group of ten or more and request the tour through their member of Congress. You can submit a request up to six months in advance, but you wo not learn the date and time of your tour until about a month in advance. Guided tours of the U.S. Capitol are available from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Free tickets are available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Capitol Guide Service Kiosk beginning at 9 a.m. You must use your tickets when you pick them up. The same-day, free tickets to the Washington Monument can be difficult to get. For $1.50, you can make advance reservations through recreation.gov. 7. Pack your running shoes or bicycle. With over 200 miles of trails in Washington, jogging and biking are popular activities. Runners interested in taking in the monuments and looping around the Mall should aim for an early morning jog, as the area gets crowded later in the day. Or head to Rock Creek Park, an 1,800-acre maze of beautiful, well-marked trails, stretching 11 miles from the Lincoln Memorial to beyond the Maryland border. A paved path runs from the Kennedy Center through the park. You can also pick up trails near Dupont Circle and the National Zoo. 8. Go celebrity spotting. L.A. and New York have movie stars and models. In D.C. the power players are the politicos. Keep your eyes peeled and you might spot a few Washington celebrities. Classic power spots include The Palm and Off the Record, the bar in The Hay-Adams Hotel. For a power breakfast, visit Bistro Bis on the Hill or the Four Seasons in Georgetown. Speaker

List of Silver Slugger Award Winners at Catcher
List of Silver Slugger Award Winners at Catcher
The Silver Slugger Award is awarded annually to the best offensive player at each position in both the American League (AL) and the National League (NL), as determined by the coaches and managers of Major League Baseball (MLB). These voters consider several offensive categories in selecting the winners, including batting average, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage (OBP), in addition to "coaches' and managers' general impressions of a player's overall offensive value". Managers and coaches are not permitted to vote for players on their own team. The Silver Slugger was first awarded in 1980 and is given by Hillerich & Bradsby, the manufacturer of Louisville Slugger bats. The award is a bat-shaped trophy, 3 feet (91 cm) tall, engraved with the names of each of the winners from the league and plated with sterling silver. Among catchers, Mike Piazza has won the most Silver Slugger Awards, with ten consecutive wins in the National League between 1993 and 2002; this is the most Silver Sluggers won consecutively by any player in Major League Baseball. In the American League, Ivn Rodrguez has won the most Silver Sluggers, with six consecutive wins from 1994 to 1999, and a seventh when he tied with Vctor Martnez in 2004. Lance Parrish won the American League award six times (1980, 1982-1984, 1986, and 1990), and Joe Mauer and Jorge Posada have won it five times; Mauer won in 2006, 2008-2010 and 2013, while Posada won in 2000-2003 and 2007. Hall of Famer Gary Carter (1981-1983, 1984-1986) and Brian McCann (2006, 2008-2011) are five-time winners in the National League. Other multiple awardees include Buster Posey (four wins; 2012, 2014-2015, 2017), Benito Santiago (four wins; 1987-1988, 1990-1991), Mickey Tettleton (three wins; 1989, 1991-1992) and Carlton Fisk (three wins; 1981, 1985, 1988). J. T. Realmuto and Mitch Garver are the most recent National and American League winners, respectively. Piazza holds several Major League records for catchers in a Silver Slugger-winning season; most were set in 1997. That season, he had an on-base percentage of .431, and had 124 runs batted in (a total he matched in 1999) to lead the award-winning catchers in those statistical categories. Javy Lpez holds the Major League records among winners for home runs (43) and slugging percentage (.687); these were set in 2003. Mauer holds the Major League record in batting average with a .365 clip he set in 2009. Mauer also leads the American League in on-base percentage (.444 in 2009). Mitch Garver's .630 slugging percentage in 2019 tops the American League in that category. Parrish batted in 114 runs in 1983, and Fisk hit 37 home runs in 1985.• Other Related Knowledge ofsilver slugger award— — — — — —List of Silver Slugger Award winners at pitcherThe Silver Slugger Award is awarded annually to the best offensive player at each position in both the American League (AL) and the National League (NL), as determined by the coaches and managers of Major League Baseball (MLB). Mike Hampton has won the most Silver Sluggers as a pitcher, earning five consecutive awards with four different teams from 1999 to 2003. Grammy Award for Producer of the Year, Classical
The is an honor presented to record producers for quality classical music productions at the Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards. Honors in several categories are presented at the ceremony annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position". Originally known as the Grammy Award for Classical Producer of the Year, the award was first presented to James Mallinson at the 22nd Grammy Awards (1980). The name remained unchanged until 1998, when the category became known as Producer of the Year, Classical. According to the category description guide for the 52nd Grammy Awards, the award is presented to album producers "whose recordings, released for the first time during the eligibility year, represent consistently outstanding creativity in the production of classical recordings". Producers must have produced at least 51% playing time on three separately released recordings (only one of which can be an opera released in DVD format). Producers may submit content as a team only if they worked together exclusively during the period of eligibility. Anthony Tommasini, music critic for The New York Times, asserted that "In the struggling field of classical recording, it's the producers who take the real risks and make things happen." The honor is presented alongside the award for Producer of the Year, Non-Classical. As of 2018, Steven Epstein and Robert Woods share the record of the most wins, with seven each. David Frost has six wins, while Judith Sherman has won the award five times. James Mallinson has been presented the award three time. Two-time recipients include Joanna Nickrenz (once alongside Marc Aubort). Woods' wife, Elaine Martone, received the honor in 2007. David Frost is the son of Thomas Frost, who received an award in the same category in 1987.— — — — — —Grammy Award for Best Classical Crossover AlbumThe Grammy Award for Best Classical Crossover Album was awarded from 1999 to 2011. The award was discontinued from 2012 in a major overhaul of Grammy categories. Basically, the Best Classical Crossover Album category will disappear. If a classical crossover release is a non-classical artist making a classical album it should be entered in the appropriate classical category. If the release is a classical artist making a non-classical album it should be entered in the appropriate genre category (Pop, New Age, Jazz, etc.) Years reflect the year in which the Grammy Awards were presented, for works released in the previous year.— — — — — —Grammy Award for Best Native American Music AlbumThe Grammy Award for Best Native American Music Album was an award presented at the Grammy Awards, a ceremony that was established in 1958 and originally called the Gramophone Awards, to recording artists for quality albums in the Native American music genre. Honors in several categories are presented at the ceremony annually by the National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences of the United States to "honor artistic achievement, technical proficiency and overall excellence in the recording industry, without regard to album sales or chart position". Following a three-year lobbying effort by Ellen Bello, founder of the Native American Music Awards and the Native American Music Association, the Grammy award was first presented to Tom Bee and Douglas Spotted Eagle in 2001 as the producers of the compilation album Gathering of Nations Pow Wow. Previously, Native American recordings had been placed in the folk, world or new-age music categories. While some Native American artists criticized the award category for being "too narrowly defined to accommodate the breadth of today's Indian music", others took pride in its inclusion. The name of the award remained unchanged between 2001 and 2011. According to the category description guide for the 52nd Grammy Awards, the award was presented to "vocal or instrumental Native American music albums containing at least 51% playing time of newly recorded music", with the intent to honor recordings of a more "traditional nature". As performing artists, Bill Miller and Mary Youngblood share the record for the most wins in this category, with two each. Thomas Wasinger holds the record for the most wins as a producer, with three. The group Black Lodge Singers holds the record for the most nominations without a win, with seven. In 2011, the category Best Native American Music Album was eliminated along with thirty others due to a major overhaul by the Recording Academy. Four additional categories in the American Roots Music field were eliminated (Best Contemporary Folk Album, Best Hawaiian Music Album, Best Traditional Folk Album, Best Zydeco or Cajun Music Album). Native American works will now be eligible for the Best Regional Roots Music Album category.
